About the Club

The Junior Reds Football Club was formed in 2001 to provide boys and girls, between the ages of six and eighteen, with the opportunity to compete in local Sunday Football Leagues in South East London and North Kent.
The Club has steadily grown and now has 42 teams competing in the Kent Youth League, Bexley and District Junior League or the South East London and Kent Youth League (SELKENT). In 2007 a new Adult team was formed and this plays in the Woolwich and Eltham Sunday Football Alliance League. In 2010 two additional adult teams were formed and these play in the Woolwich and Eltham Sunday Football Alliance League and the South London Alliance Saturday League. A further adult team was formed in 2011
The teams play their games at several home grounds. Most eleven-a-side teams play at either King Georges Field, Meridan Ground or Bexleyheath Academy.  Mini Soccer teams for the younger age groups are now based at Danson Youth Centre, Brampton Road, Bexleyheath, DA7 4EZ.
The teams train at a variety of venues across the London Boroughs of Bexley and Greenwich, and on different days of the week. Details can be found in the relevant age group “Team” information page (on the left-hand menu).
In 2001 the Club was awarded Charter Standard Development status by the London Football Association (FA). This sets high standards and responsibilities in terms of Coaching; Parent & Player Conduct and Organisation. This award was successfully renewed in 2007.
The Junior Reds is a non-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. We welcome players from all social and racial backgrounds and try to accommodate, wherever possible, players of all abilities. Our aim is to provide a safe and caring environment to enable the playing of football for enjoyment by as many young people as possible.
All Managers (over 6 months in post) possess, as a minimum, the FA Level 1 Coaching qualification. The Managers are independently Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked by the Football Association, as a condition of the FA Charter Standard accreditation.
