Our first women’s 11 a side team played in their first league and cup fixtures this month.
LEAGUE: Their first league game was against Larkfield Ladies away – our ladies, playing majority of the game with 10 players due to no subs and an injury equalised within 2 minutes of the full time whistle. Towering centre back, Amy Davis with the bullet header from 5 yards out!
CUP: In only their second ever game the Ladies managed to win 1-0 at home in the Divisional Cup. Playing at home (Sparrows Farm, Sparrows Lane) they had plenty of chances in the first half against visitors, Sittingbourne Seconds, some resolute defending throughout and a clever finish from forward Honey Miller gave the hosts the victory in the last minutes of the game, avoiding a penalty shootout!
