A big congratulations to the Junior Reds Ladies Valiants team (managed by Canturk Yanpur) who have been announced as the winners of the South East Women’s League Division Two sportsmanship award for season 2021-22. Well done all!

Bob Wood (U10 Girls Manager) was back at ASDA Bexleyheath on Sunday (17th July) at our Club promotion stall.

This was the second of two events Bob ran over the weekend. Look out for Bob over the rest of the summer as these were part of a series of promotional events being held over the summer period.

A new U11’s team (Junior Red Sabres) is being formed over the summer with a view to competing in the Selkent League.

The team (School Year 6 from September) is being set up to give playing opportunities for players who are currently without a team.

The Sabres will train at Bexleyheath Academy (DA6 7DA) on Saturday mornings.

In a first for Junior Reds FC we held a Club promotion stand on the main shopping pedestrian way at Bexleyheath on Saturday 16th July.

There was lots of interest and many people stopped for a chat and to wish the Club well. We expect to recruit a few additional players and even one or two Coaches from our promotional event.

This is just one of a series of promotional events being held over the Summer period.

A new additional team (to be named Junior Reds Warriors) is being formed this summer in the Under 12 age group (School Year 7 in September)

The team is being formed thanks to the energy of Lee Stewart, Manager of Junior Reds Knights (U12). Lee explained “We have received a large number of enquiries for players to join an Under 12 team. Most of our teams are full so this is an appropriate time, if possible, to give playing opportunities for these players without teams.”

We do crucially, however, require a Team Manager. Full support will be given and the team will play out of Coldharbour Leisure Centre at the same venue as Lee’s Under 12 Knights team. If anyone can help please contact Lee via Club Secretary Clive Chivers on 07504 264 157.

Junior Reds Under 17 Titans held their end of season trophy presentation on Sunday 3rd July. This was held at The Stables restaurant in Danson Park.

The Titans team enjoyed a memorable season winning their Division in the Selkent League. A great achievement showcasing great team work; hard work; commitment and consistency over 18 league games.

The occasion also sees a change in management with Andrew Dawson stepping down after five years in charge. Thanks Andy for all your time and energy in making the Titans team a success. We would like to welcome Kevin who will be leading the team for season 2022/23.

Junior Reds Sabres are looking to add experienced (Selkent League A/B level) players in all positions for the forthcoming 2022/23 season as they move to U18 (School year 13).

Congratulations to Junior Reds Valiants who won the Under 8 category at the 14^th Annual Paddock Wood Summer Tournament on Saturday 25^th June. They met Junior Reds Athletic Under 8’s en route to the final, edging a tight game on penalties.

Well done to all Junior Reds teams involved.

We at Junior Reds are busy forming some new Under 7s teams throughout the summer to play in the local Selkent League for next season.

We meet for an hour at 9.30am on the field at Bexleyheath Academy (post code DA6 7DA) on Saturday mornings.

Hopefully we can form two and maybe three Under 7 teams over this summer.

If you are interested in joining our group for football practice and teams simply come along on a Saturday morning at 9.30am.

Teams each week throughout the season mark their opponents in terms of their sportsmanship and conduct.

The Junior Reds Manager/ Coaches team received the highest number of marks to receive the award.
