Junior Reds will have a new women’s team competing from the beginning of the 2021/22 season.
We are delighted to announce the formation of our new Junior Reds Women’s team ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The team will be the second women’s side incorporated as part of the Club. This has been a long-held ambition for us and is another positive step as we continue to offer football for all within our community.
The newly formed team will be managed by Canturk Yanpar who is a UEFA “A” licence Coach. He currently works with our U15s girls age group.
Club Chairman Clive Chivers said, “I’m delighted from the 2021/22 season that we will have another ladies team at the Club. This has been a long term aim from the Committee and one that fully underlines our commitment to offer football for all. I wish Canturk all the best in his new role and I’m sure that success will follow in the future.”
More details will be announced in due course, but any female players aged 16+ that are interested in joining the team, please contact our Manager Canturk Yanpar at canturkyanpar@hotmail.com
We have been working hard over the last few months – COVID restrictions permitting – to form two new additional Mini Soccer teams.
These teams, at Under 8s and Under 9s, are for children in School Years 3 and 4 and will play in the Selkent League.
Formation of these teams is due to the incredible hard work of Coach, Suky Khosa. Fantastic work, Suky!!!!
Suky said ” We have formed these two teams in order to give a greater number of children an opportunity to play organised football on a regular basis each Sunday. Children have been attending Saturday training sessions and now is the time for many to step up to a higher level in their football learning.
We do still have two vacancies for each team so if your child is interested and ready please contact me on 07989 848 595. Hopefully we can accommodate them into one of our new teams. A degree of commitment is, however, required as training occurs on a Saturday morning with matches on Sundays.
I am keen to recruit some Managers for these teams to assist me with the organisation and Coaching. This is a great opportunity for a Parent and player sibling to share the unique experience of being in the same team. I am of course happy for any suitable Adult to help so the role is not restricted to Parents!”.
We at Junior Reds have just formed two new Mini Soccer teams in the Under 8 and Under 9s age groups. We are in need of committed Team Managers for these two groups. This is an ideal opportunity for people wishing to acquire practical knowledge as full support is given. The teams meet at Bexleyheath Academy on Saturday mornings. The Coaches will need to be DBS/CRB checked. If you or you know someone able to help please contact Suky on 07989 848 595 or email Suky.khosa@googlemail.com
We are also seeking a Team Manager for one of our Under 10s teams competing in the Selkent “C” Division. This group also meets at Bexleyheath Academy on Saturday mornings. Please contact Suky on 07989 848 595 or Chris on 07944 684 197 if you or you know someone that can help this team.
Congratulations goes to Mariam – a member of Junior Reds Under 18 Roses team – in joining the London FA Youth Council.
The FA Youth Council provides a voice for young participants across the capital and this year will look at two important issues around racial equality and the impact on mental heath due to Covid isolation.
Mariam is the first person in Junior Reds to join the Youth Council. Mariam said ” I joined the Youth Council to provide a voice to increase participation especially amongst female players”.
Pictured is Mariam with last season’s Kent Girls & Ladies League Division 1 Under 16 trophy.
Following the government statement on the national lockdown, the FA has suspended all youth and adult grassroots football (matches and training) with immediate effect. In what is a very difficult time, stay safe and hopefully we’ll be back soon. We will let you know as soon as possible when football activities can resume again.
Junior Reds have been working hard over the last few months in forming two additional mini soccer teams for girls.
These teams are for girls in School Year 3 for Under 8s and School Year 4 for Under 9s. The teams have entered the Kent Girls and Ladies League with matches to be played as soon as the current COVID-19 “lockdown” ends
The Under 8 team trains on a Saturday morning at Bexleyheath Academy. The Under 9s train on a Saturday morning at Hall Place in Bexley.
Manager for the Under 9s, Bob Wood, said “Over the last few months a number of new players have arrived to join our practice sessions. We decided this was a great opportunity to expand the girls playing skills by forming two new teams and to join a League. The Under 8s will play matches on a monthly basis and Under 9s almost each week. Players of all abilities are welcome to join in our practice sessions and to learn the basics in playing football. The new teams are an additional development option for interested players”.
If interested in joining either the new Under 8s or 9s Girls teams, or simply the Saturday morning practice sessions, contact either Bob on 07908 472 266 or Club Secretary, Clive, on 07504 264 1547 or email clive@juniorredsfc.co.uk for further details.
