Congratulations to our Under 11 girls in reaching the Shield final of the Welling United Football Club summer tournament in early June. A brilliant achievement to reach so far in this competition.

The Junior Reds Valiants U10 were unlucky to lose a hard contested final in The Long Lane Summer Tournament on penalties against the Royal Greenwich Borough FC.

Well done to the team!

Our Under 11 Roses team held their annual presentation of trophies at VCD Club in Crayford on Saturday 8th June.

The Management team – Adam, Chris, Darren – reviewed their first season together and presented the trophies to all giving a little tribute to each player and parents along the way. After the awards came music, dance, food and drink.

The girls and parents have really bonded in their first season together as a team- on and off the pitch. Amazing progress in just one season.

Thanks to all for a very enjoyable and special evening.

Our Under 13 Knights team held their annual presentation of trophies at GOALS Soccer Centre in Bexleyheath on Friday 7th June.

All players were recognised for their contribution to the team over the season. Team Manager, Lee, gave a very entertaining account of each player’s qualities as the trophies were presented. A film of all the goals over the season was shown on a big screen. Lee specifically highlighted his best three goals and these were seen on the big screen.

Well done to all for an enjoyable and special evening.

Congratulations to Lee and the Under 13 Knights team in winning their Bob Staggs Memorial Shield final.

In an entertaining and close fought game the “Knights” beat The Bosco Saints by three goals to one.

The Knights team spirit, application to the task and hard work was very evident.

Well done to all.

Our Under 17s Sabres team reached the Selkent Blue Shield final on Saturday 18th May.

In a close and hard fought encounter the team found themselves on the wrong end of a 2-0 scoreline against opponents, Beacons White.

Disappointing for the lads but some strong performances along the way enabled the team to reach the final and they should be very proud of their achievement.

Congratulations go to Manager Lee and the Under 13 Knights team.

They have managed an unbeaten run in their Selkent Shield group and have now reached the Bob Staggs Memorial Shield Final (Pink group).

The game will take place next Sunday 19th May @ 17.30 at the Meridian Sports Club ground in Charlton.

The Junior Reds U12 Sabres – Selkent U12 Bob Staggs Memorial Brown Shield Winners 2024!

This is a great achievement considering the Sabres are a relatively new team in their second season.

Our Under 12 Sabres team have reached the Bob Staggs Memorial Shield Final (Brown group).

This game will take place this Saturday morning (11.00am kick off) 11th May at the Marathon Sports Club ground in Greenwich.

Pictured are members of the Girls Saturday Soccer Club from a recent session at Bexleyheath Academy.

This group is open to girls of all abilities in Primary School Years 2 – 6. They meet on Saturday mornings at 10.00am until 11.15am.

The girls are looking to form some new teams over this Summer to compete in the Kent Girls and Ladies League from September. One of the sponsors to do this is Pizza Express in Sidcup.
