Our Under 13s Girls team held their end of season awards presentation at the end of July at the Village Inn, Belvedere.
Manager, Canturk said “My thanks go to all the players for working so hard last season and making real progress in their technical ability and collectively as a team. I am really grateful for all the parents who have supported the girls each week and assisted me in managing the team. It was good to see the girls bonding and having fun”.
Congratulations to our Women’s team in being recognised by the South East Counties Womens’ League as the most sporting in the Kent Division Two West for season 2022/23.
Team Manager, Clive, said ” This recognition is something we are very proud of. The players were always fair, sporting and friendly to all the teams and Referees we met over the whole of last season. The team’s positive attitude due to some great people was a true credit to Junior Reds”.
Our Under 7 Valiants team had a very enjoyable end of season trophy presentation earlier this month at the Rose and Crown pub in Welling.
Team Manager, Jeno, wrote “Our first social event as a team was nothing but a success and a fantastic day. There were many trophies including a “Golden boot” for the top goal scorer and a “Man of the season”, based on the highest number of “Man of the match “awards over the whole season. All the boys received certificates, medallions and trophies.
After a fantastic season with just a solitary defeat, I announced to the team that we are due to be playing in a higher Selkent division next season. I am fortunate to have some great players and parents in my team”.
All existing teams have been updated to their new age groups for the 2023/24 season starting in September 2023.
New teams starting in September 2023 will be added during July 2023 as the registration process for players commences.
There were trophies and presents for all when the Under 12 Knights and Warriors held their end of season annual presentation last week at GOALS Soccer Centre in Bexleyheath.
Manager Lee and Assistant Steve gave each player a small individual pen-portrait of their season as trophies were awarded to all for their fantastic contributions over the season. Key parent helpers were recognised with drinks and gifts. It was a delight to see the delight of the players as trophies were presented. A great evening all round.
Congratulations to our Junior Reds Valiants (Under 9) who have won the Paddock Wood Football Club Tournament this weekend for the second time!
Congratulations to our Under 10 Girls team for winning the Tonbridge Junior Fiesta Tournament.
The girls played nine games in total, winning four, drawing three and losing two. They played Staplehurst in the final, winning by one goal to nil.
Congratulations to the Under 12 Spartans in winning their Bob Staggs Memorial Selkent Shield Final on the 21st May. In a close fought encounter against Blackheath Rhinos Black, the game finished 1-1. The match was then decided on penalties with the Spartans coming out on top by four penalties to three. Well done to both teams for an exciting and entertaining game!
Our Junior Reds Spartan’s U12’s team is competing in the Shield Final this coming Sunday. All support is welcomed.
